After working in advertising and interior design in South Africa, I returned to the U.K. to study for a B.A.(Hons) Fine Art, and followed that with a P.G.C.E. I then taught Ceramics and Art & Design in secondary schools for twenty years whilst raising a family. I took early retirement from teaching in 2001 and now work in my studio at home, continuing to explore torn paper collage as a medium of expression as well as painting in oils and pastels. I generally draw inspiration from my environment using photography, looking at buildings and structures, landscapes and fauna and flora.
