Some years living on the sea has imprinted re-emerging memories of environment and elements. I work in relief and 3d, using mostly pewter, interpreting my impressions and combining play of light on the surface of my metals to make beautiful forms. Without disguising the marks which contribute to the forming process, they become a dialogue or `handwriting` which communicates with audience, describing the evolution of the piece. Through this, stimulated by observation and reflection on different physical and mental conditions, I refine form and mark-making to express the essence of an idea with the belief that `less is more`.
