After Cambridge, living in Devon is inspirational, I see wild moors; walk through woods with twisting rivers and streams; or visit the coast, rich with little coves or vast open beaches, I could not live without colour and want to enrich the lives of others with it. Sometimes hidden and stitched to the paper or added to the canvas lie seaweed, leaves, sand or beads. I like to draw the viewer into the work, seeing different aspects from every angle. I want to encourage the observers own ideas and imagination or see if they know or recognise the very place.
